A little bit of a sea relief sigh

This little print is inspired by a dip I didn’t have at the slipway in Ilfracombe by the Lime Kiln. The evening was perfect. It was warm, the sea was the colour it goes when it really wants you to get in, and the sky faded from blue to a gentle sunset of pastel colours. I didn’t get to swim. We were having dinner. I wish I’d swum, but this print means I can remember the feeling of the view and I will go back on an evening like this one day and get in next time!

The name for the print is taken from a quote from an inspirational book called ‘The Wild Remedy’ by Emma Mitchell. The actual quote in the book is: ‘ I am longing for the sigh of mental relief that comes when I am by the sea’.

Limited edition print run of 16 little prints on Fabriano high quality artists paper - Hand drawn artwork and hand screen printed. Prints will vary slightly due to the hand made nature of the screen print and the gradient effect on the background.

Printed area is approx printed on paper approx sized 14cm wide by 19cm high.
