This screenprint is inspired by the incredible book by Robert Macfarlane, The Underland and references a couple of quotes:

'Where the light meets the shadow'
'A charm of goldfinches flitters away'

We live lives that regularly touch on light and dark, but rarely are we completely in one state or the other. A block of 'the best blue sky day' blue sits under the stormy image as a reminder that things change, one day can be grey another bright and to emphasise the light coming through the dark.
