Since living in Devon, I’ve started swimming in the sea, taking on the challenge of the waves, the cold and the jellyfish to realise how great it is to do something as simple as swimming in the sea and how satisfying it is.

Somedays, the sky and the sea look so amazing its hard to believe that you are lucky enough to get to see it for real. Being in the sea feels like getting to be part of that seascape rather than just a bystander admiring it.

It is a strangely addictive feeling, so addictive that I have worked hard to train myself to brave the cold. However, I'm not as resilient as the lovely ladies who feature in these print, Appledore ladies who swim in their cossies whatever the time of year. I have great respect for them!
