This print evokes that brilliant bit when you stand on the shore and check out the waves before you paddle out and catch one of those beauties at the perfect moment when the sea takes a breather. For me, surfing is a release and as well as great fun. In my prints the birds symbolise cares flying away and my happiness from being in the sea, hanging out in the natural world and catching a wave.

Surfing is one of those activities where the whole world can reset and what seems like a bad day can suddenly be transformed into an amazing day thanks to a hug from mother nature. Embracing the truly great outdoors is the best thing for any mind, remembering the power of the sea and how it is ever changing.
